Well Done Harambee Stars

Two goals from Parma's Macdonald Mariga and Auxerre's sensation Dennis Oliech sink the feared Warriors (Zimbabwe). Harambee Stars of late have rejuvinated and have woked up the fanaticism of Kenyans to Soccer. We now lead on the top of the group with 6 points from 2 games.

Go Go Go Harambee Stars.

Insecurity in Marsabit and Laisamis districts is in shambles. It has been a very delicate issue for decades now. While we yearn to drop some of these shackles and move ahead to catch-up with the rest of the developed world, this malady hits us where it matters most. Our peace to stay at homes safely. Leave alone to stay home to develop. Just to stay at home. Some families have lost their fortunes which the have preserved, cherished and above all depended on for eons. Now it is gone. Where? we all know. The begs for a double question. How are we going to bring back the lost fortune and how are we going to eradicate the possibilities of this occuring in future. We have always tried to solve our problems at the expense of the other neighbours and they have done the same to us. But these endless chain of cattle rustling will not only make us lag behind but we will destroy the basis for the future besides losing our loved ones. I know this comment would not go down well with some of my kins but painfully this is the way. The world cannot continue to be like this forever. We have stop these cases that make us vulnerable to attacks. We really do not need to defend ourselves, what we need is to plan to move ahead and provide basis need to our families. Education, peace, shelter, medical services among others.

I send my greeting to the people of Laisamis Costituency.

Condolences

It is with deep sadness that The New Dawn learns the death of the two Kenyan ministers; Kones and Laboso. These are the people whose hands have been entrusted the mantle to continue with the representation of the marginalized areas. Untimely, they have left. They have left a gap in that enedevour.

May heaven be their bed.

LETS WAKE UP TO THIS NEW DAWN !

This New Dawn !

While we still grumble about our ethnicity and clanism Obama is breaking those bonds where it was felt the most. He is defying the odds. A leader with character. That is the kind of a leader Laisamis wants. Joseph embodies this. He is a generous and pragmatic leader.
Lets share in his vision.
